Payment by mobile phone or watch works via NFC technology (Near Field Communication). Just hold the device up to a contactless terminal just as you would with a payment card. First it is necessary to add your card to a digital wallet (Google/Apple/Garmin/Xiaomi/Swatch).
In the mobile/watch, you must also have installed one of the available digital wallets (Google/Apple/Garmin/Xiaomi/Swatch). A digital wallet is already installed on most devices, but if not, you need to download one and then add your payment card to it.
The fastest way for you to add a card to a digital wallet in your mobile phone is via the George app – without needlessly entering data from the card. Click on the card icon in the upper menu of the main screen Overview, select the card you want to add, then Functions – Add to wallet and proceed according to the instructions.
In the watch, click on the wallet, then on Add card and then follow the instructions.

Procedure for mobile phone
The fastest way for you to add a card to a digital wallet in your mobile phone is via the George app – without needlessly entering data from the card. If you add the card directly via the digital wallet, you need to have the physical card itself. Proceed based on which device you have:
- Android: Open the app Google Wallet, click on Add card and proceed according to the instructions.
- iPhone: Open the app Apple Wallet, click on +, scan the card or enter it manually and proceed according to the instructions.
Procedure for a watch:
- Open the wallet (based on the type of device you are using – Google Wallet/Apple Wallet/Garmin Connect/Mi Fitness/SwatchPAY!).
- Select the option Add card.
- Proceed according to the instructions (based on type of device varying sequences of actions follow: adding card information, verifying the card via the bank, setting up a security code/pattern and providing consent with the conditions).

Yes, in fact contactless payments are even more secure than by regular card payments, because the merchant has no information available from your card. Data is not stored directly on the mobile phone/watch – unique card numbers are used – so-called tokens, which protect your data.
