The bank does not provide urgent transfers in AUD, CNY, HKD, JPY and RUB.
Cross-border transfer – Sent
cross-border transfer will be executed by the bank on the basis of a payment order of a client of our bank
in domestic or foreign currency to a foreign country
in a foreign currency to another bank in Slovakia
Cross-border transfer – Received
cross-border transfer will be executed by the bank on the grounds of a payment order credited to your account at our bank
in domestic or foreign currency from a foreign country
in a foreign currency from another bank in Slovakia
credited funds to your account from a foreign country are free of charge
With effect from 1.9.2017, Slovenská sporiteľňa, a.s. does not accept payment orders for cross-border transactions via cheques to be picked up in person or cheques to the address of the recipient, and neither does it execute such cross-border transactions.
A cheque is a security which serves as a payment order for a bank, by which the account holder gives an order to his bank to pay the specified amount to the subject, specified on the cheque. Cross-border transfer with a cheque may be used when you do not know the bank details of the recipient.
Our bank issues cheques in the following currencies:
AUD, CZK, DKK, EUR, GBP, JPY, NOK, PLN, SEK, USD
We do not issue cheques in the following currencies: CAD, CNY, HUF, HKD, HRK, CHF, RUB, RON, TRY.
You may request the cheque issue in two ways:
Cheque to the recipient’s address
cheque will be issued and delivered to the address, specified by you
the requirement is to fill in the exact mail address of the recipient
cheque to the recipient’s address in CZK is possible to issue only for a recipient in the Czech Republic
Cheque to be picked up in person
we will issue a cheque which you can collect at a set place
you will deliver it to the recipient in person
We don’t provide the service for cheque receipt on direct debit payment
