Description of futures
- Futures are a standardized forward contract traded on an exchange
- By its purchase, you become obliged to buy (by selling to sell) an underlying asset on a preset date and for a preset price
- The underlying asset could be in the form of:
- commodity – Commodity Futures
- financial asset – Financial Futures
- Futures are often settled in cash and only sometimes in a form of a physical delivery
- Slovenská Sporiteľňa accepts orders only for Financial Futures – term contracts, whose value depends on the development of the market price of the underlying asset:
- currency
- interest rate
- bond
- stock index
- Contractual terms of the contact are stated in the rules of the respective exchange
- Only in EUR and USD currencies
- To obtain the product you have to sign contractual documentation
