I am foreigner, what do I need to open an account?

Personal Account

To set up a personal account:

• EU citizens – present a passport or proof of identity of a citizen of an EU member country. At the same time, they will submit a document proving the person's relationship to the Slovak Republic, which can be e.g. employment contract, title deed, certificate of study, etc.
• Citizens of other countries present their passports as well as proof of permanent residence in the form of an identification card with a photo of a foreigner, or with a permit for temporary residence on the territory of the Slovak Republic. At the same time, they will submit a document proving the person's relationship to the Slovak Republic, which can be e.g. employment contract, title deed, certificate of study, etc.

Business Account

In order to establish a business account, in addition to the above-mentioned documents, it is necessary to submit a documentary document of the authorization to carry out the business activity (original document or officially certified copy) and a valid identity document (or other documents in the sense of the above) of the entrepreneur or persons present authorized to act on behalf of the company.
