How do I close an account?

Apply personally at any branch of the bank to close an account. An application to close an account can also be sent by mail; in this case the signature of the client must be properly verified. The cancellation fee is 0 €. Before closing an account all standing orders, direct debit orders on the account must be cancelled and active payment cards issued for the account returned. If an electronic payment card is issued for the account, the account is closed within 8 days after the payment card is returned / cancelled. If the client has an embossed payment card, the account is closed within 30 calendar days from the date.
