Slovenská sporiteľňa has a new member of the Board of Directors for retail banking. It is Juraj Barta, who has led key digital projects in the bank in recent years including George, the transformation of retail banking and innovation in our approach to data. The European Central Bank has given final approval for Juraj’s appointment to the Board of Directors.
Juraj Barta looks forward to continuing progress in his new role: “This is another step in our mission to become our clients’ best advisor for life and business and a digital leader in Slovakia. It will be a pleasure and privilege for me to work with the best retail team in our banking market on this mission to benefit our clients, our bank and Slovakia, and to make sure we all enjoy it too.”
Peter Krutil, the CEO and chairman of the Board of Directors of Slovenská sporiteľňa welcomed the appointment: “I am glad that Juraj is taking over retail management because he has dedicated nearly his whole professional life to our bank.
