Slovenská sporiteľňa launched Apple Pay today and new clients can have an account free of charge

The largest bank in Slovakia is among the first ones to launch Apple Pay, an easy, secure and private payment method that’s also fast and convenient. After introducing Google Pay last year in February, mobile payments in Slovenská sporiteľňa are now possible on both operating systems. At the same time, the Bank wants to offer its digital solutions to all Slovaks and new clients can now have an account free of charge until the end of the year.

„As the largest digital bank we are introducing mobile payments via Apple Pay on the first day of its roll-out in Slovakia. We believe that a modern Slovakia needs accessible digital services and that’s why we decided to offer innovative payments also to those who are not yet our clients. Every Slovak will have the opportunity to try out our innovations as the account is free of charge until the end of the year,” said Zdeněk Románek, Member of the Board of Directors of Slovenská sporiteľňa responsible for retail banking.
