Paul Formanko, one of the most experienced investment analysts in the field of banking is joining Slovenská sporiteľňa as an independent Member of the Supervisory Board.

He is replacing Ľudovít Ódor, who resigned from his function as a result of being named the vice-governor of the National Bank of Slovakia.

Paul Formanko has more than 20 years of experience in the field of investment advisory, capital investments, research of international and emerging markets with focus on financial institutions and banks of Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Southern Africa.

While working in London, he set up and managed international teams of analysts and advisors focusing on capital investments in the area of privatisation, IPOs, fusions and acquisitions for institutional investors, corporations and JP Morgan clients.

He and his team in JP Morgan placed very high in the EMEA Institutional Investor rankings and they were also among the TOP 3 European Stock Pickers by FT.

Paul Formanko was born and grew up in Slovakia. He earned his MBA in finance and international management at the University of Chicago and the University of Leuven in Belgium. He lives in London, is married, has two children and among his hobbies are skiing, cooking, travelling, investing and tennis.
