The British prestigious magazine The Banker, part of the Financial Times group, awarded Slovenská sporiteľňa as the Bank of the year 2019 in Slovakia. This award is among the most respected ones in the world of banking ad is considered a reliable international indicator of financial health, stability and profitability of banks. It is already the third Bank of the Year award for Slovenská sporiteľńa this year.

The Banker awards global banking leaders for achieved results and compares individual banks on local level. In Slovakia, it recognized the excellent business results of Slovenská sporiteľňa which overtook its competitors.     

In addition to the award by The Banker, Slovenská sporiteľňa was also awarded as the best bank by the British magazine Euromoney. And last but not least, it was able to win the most prestigious Slovak award – TREND TOP Bank of the Year 2019.
