Although he became a chef against his own will and initially hated cooking, he is now one of the most successful chefs and businessmen in the gastronomy sector in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In 1989 he emigrated to Holland and Australia where he worked as a chef in renowned restaurants. After returning home, he managed several exclusive businesses and currently owns some of these businesses. The Divinis restaurant, awarded with the Michelin Bib Gourmand award (exceptionally good food at moderate prices) 11 years in a row, is among his greatest achievements. He is also owner of the famous Café Imperial and Next Door by Imperial in Prague. In addition, he also wrote more than ten cookbooks and produced several television programs.
