Michaela Bauer
Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer
She graduated from the University of Economics in Prague and holds a CEMS Master’s degree in International Management from the Hochschule St. Gallen.
Over the past 24 years, Michaela Bauer has built an impressive career within ČSOB and the KBC Group, where she held various leadership positions. She served as a member of the Management Board of ČSOB in the Czech Republic and as Senior General Manager at KBC Group. In these roles, she was responsible for strategic initiatives in the areas of strengthening client relationships, digital banking, technologies, and banking operations.
From March 1, 2026, she has been the Chief Executive Officer of Slovenská sporiteľňa and Chairwoman of the Board of Directors. In the bank, she is responsible for strategic direction, brand development, innovation, and leading the largest digital bank in Slovakia.
Pavel Cetkovský
Board Member
He started his career in Česká sporiteľňa and was part of its management team ever since the bank became owned by Erste group. He held various positions in the areas of finance, risk management and retail; later he was serving as Chief Risk Officer, Chief Financial Officer and CEO in local banks of Erste Group.
From January 2018, he is Member of the Board of Directors and until the end of 2023 he served as Chief Financial Officer of Slovenská sporiteľna. He is currently responsible for the risk management of Slovenská sporiteľna, as well as for the area of facility, environment and construction and legal services.
Milan Hain
Board Member
He is a graduate of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics at the Comenius University in Bratislava, and completed his doctoral work at the University of Technology in Eindhoven. He has further enhanced his managerial and professional expertise through various specialized programs, including the prestigious London Business School.
He started his banking career in 1993 in VÚB where he held various positions including Head of IT Development. In 1999 he joined the communication sector as Chief Information Officer and remained there until 2012. He then started working for Raiffeisen Bank in the Czech Republic.
From July 1, 2018, he became a member of the Board of Directors of Slovenská sporiteľňa, responsible for IT and bank operations.
Juraj Barta
Board Member
He graduated from Comenius University in Bratislava, where his specialisations were physics and management. He joined Slovenská sporiteľňa in 2004. He was responsible for market analysis, and later held roles such as the bank’s chief economist and head of marketing.
More recently, he has been responsible for the development of electronic channels and digital sales. He is a member of the Erste Group Digital Strategy Board.
From June 8, 2022, he became a member of the Board of Directors of Slovenská sporiteľňa, responsible for retail banking.
Marek Sásik
Board Member
He holds a master’s degree from the University of Economics in Bratislava with a specialisation in financial management, and professional training certificates from the CFA Institute in the United States, where he studied financial analysis, and the School of Finance and Management in Frankfurt, where he learned risk management.
Since 2003, his professional career has been linked with Slovenská sporiteľňa, when he started as an relationship manager for large corporate clients before progressing through several managerial roles in the areas of real estate financing, project financing, and syndications, up to corporate credit risk management (B-1 level).
He was elected a member of the Board of Directors of Slovenská sporiteľňa on October 13, 2025. He is responsible for managing the Corporate Banking and Financial Markets line and he is the member of the statutory body with responsibility for securities trading.
