Terms of use of AI tools in the environment of Slovenská sporiteľňa
This Publication sets out the basic terms and conditions for the use of AI tools that you may encounter within Slovenská sporiteľňa's environment, such as in George. It also sets out the rights and obligations of clients when using AI tools, and the rights and obligations of Slovenská sporiteľňa.
I. Consent to the terms and conditions of use of AI tools
- A client may only use an AI tool once they have expressed an interest in doing so. In practice, this usually means that you will be notified within Slovenská sporiteľňa's digital environment that an AI tool is being used within a particular application or tool. You will give your consent by clicking the "I agree" button or another button with a similar meaning, or you will be informed that by continuing with the activity, you are consenting to the use of the AI tool. By this action or by continuing the activity, the client confirms that he or she agrees with:
- The Terms of Use for AI tools deployed within Slovenská sporiteľňa,
- The General Terms and Conditions of Slovenská sporiteľňa, a.s., effective from 1 January 2015 (hereinafter "GTC"),
- The Service Charge List.
By expressing interest, the client also declares that he or she has read these documents, agree to them and will comply with them.
If the client does not agree to the terms and conditions, the client may not use the AI tool and must immediately cease any activity in which the AI tool is deployed.
II. What is an AI tool under this Publication?
By the term of this Publication AI tool, means an artificial intelligence system which:
- is advanced, i.e. it automatically generates the most likely answers to submitted questions (a so-called chatbot),
- has a certain degree of autonomy,
- may demonstrate adaptability,
- evaluates the prompts submitted to it and generates responses based on them,
- is intended to generate content or information of a non-binding nature. Should any AI tool provide recommendations that may influence your decision-making, or specifically encourage you to act or, conversely, refrain from acting, we will always notify you of this in advance in the description and specifications of that particular AI tool,
- is deployed within the Slovenská sporiteľňa environment.
III. Rules for the use of AI tools
- The AI tool operates as an electronic service within the digital environment of Slovenská sporiteľňa. Clients may use it wherever it is available within the bank, for example in George.
- If no fee or other charge is specified for a particular AI tool in the Agreement, the Service of Charge List, this means that its use is free of charge for clients.
- Clients may only use the AI tool for private and non-commercial purposes. By using it, they do not acquire any rights to the responses generated by the AI tool.
- To ensure safe use for everyone, it is not permitted to enter the following into the AI tool:
x Particularly sensitive or confidential data, such as
– data concerning health, sex life, ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership (i.e. special categories of personal data within the meaning of Article 9 of the GDPR),
– private financial data of other persons,
– trade and business secrets, such as know-how, business strategies or calculation methods,
– information that should not be publicly available because its disclosure could harm the data subject or third parties, such as passwords or internal information,
x Content that could harm you or anyone else, breach the law or lead to legal consequences (e.g. offensive, extreme or illegal content).
x It is not permitted to input into AI tools any data or works to which other persons hold rights, in particular intellectual property rights such as copyright.
- If a client inputs data into an AI tool that should not be entered, we will process such data in accordance with the data processing rules under this Publication.
- If a client ceases to use the AI tool, we will apply the processing rules set out in this Publication to the data they have entered into the AI tool.
- If a client breaches any of the above rules, we reserve the right to exclude that client from further use of the AI tool.
IV. What happens to the information you enter into the AI tool?
- We use client inputs to continuously improve the AI tool, to identify the questions asked more accurately and to find more precise answers.
- We process personal data in accordance with the Terms and Conditions/Personal Data/Slovenská sporiteľňa.
V. How reliable are the outputs generated by AI tools?
The AI tool provides quick information to help you better understand the topic. However, it is important to know what you can and cannot expect from it:
- Answers generated by the AI tool cannot be regarded as promises, confirmations or other legally binding statements by Slovenská sporiteľňa. Nor are they recommendations for the client to take or refrain from taking a specific action – even if the response contains words such as "recommendation", "promise", "confirmation" or words with a similar meaning.
- Responses generated by the AI tool are based primarily on predefined algorithms, databases and probabilistic calculations. They may therefore be inaccurate, inappropriate or even completely incorrect. Clients are therefore obliged to check and verify the AI tool's responses.
- Respinses do not replace personal banking and investment advice or comprehensive information on risks.
- The responses do not reflect the positions or opinions of Slovenská sporiteľňa or Erste Group.
- The AI tool cannot assess what is ethical and what is not, therefore, its responses do not take ethical and moral aspects into account.
- Information generated by the AI tool does not constitute investment advice or any other financial advice. It is not an investment recommendation, an offer, a recommendation or a solicitation to buy or sell financial products, nor is it a solicitation to include them in an investment or trading strategy. Certain transactions may not be suitable for every investor; therefore, the client should always consider consulting their investment, legal or tax adviser in advance. This allows the client to determine whether the product is suitable for them and what risks are associated with it, regardless of the information provided by the AI tool.
- If the AI tool presents performance development or model calculations relating to financial products, such information must not be relied upon. Likewise, no reliable conclusions about future performance should be drawn from such information. References to past investment returns are not a guarantee of future returns. Transactions in investment instruments (e.g. securities) may be risky, and you may lose the entire invested amount.
VI. Liability of Slovenská sporiteľňa
- Although we at Slovenská sporiteľňa strive to ensure that AI tools generate the most accurate and up-to-date information possible, we cannot guarantee that every response will be correct or complete. We therefore accept no liability for the correctness and accuracy of responses generated by AI tools.
- At the same time, we do not guarantee that the AI tool will function flawlessly or without interruption. We therefore reserve the right to change, update or discontinue the operation of the AI tool as a whole or any part thereof at any time without notice.
Special Terms and Conditions for the GEORGE AI EXPERTS Application
I. Characteristics
- George AI Experts is an AI-based chatbot. It is a machine application that allows you to type in natural language and receive automatically generated responses. It provides basic information on finance and also answers questions about Slovenská sporiteľňa's products (about products in general, but also about your own products). The role of George AI Experts is to provide clear, explanatory and educational answers. It is not intended to provide legal or financial advice.
II. Data used and binding nature of outputs
- George AI Experts cannot answer difficult, complex or specific questions. It generates answers from publicly available information about products and services and from selected internal sources. The service also works with data that a specific client has in their George (for example, information about specific products). This is so that it can offer the client the most accurate and relevant answer possible.
- The generated responses are based, amongst other things, on predefined algorithms and probabilistic calculations. For technical reasons, George AI Experts may also generate fabricated content (hallucinations). We continuously evaluate and improve the application, but the responses are generated without human intervention. Therefore, its outputs may be inaccurate, inappropriate or incorrect. Please check the information provided and verify its accuracy. Never rely on the outputs without verifying them.
- The generated answers are for informational purposes only. They do not constitute legal, financial, tax or professional advice or recommendations. Answers relating to banking products and services are of a general nature, which means they may not adequately take your specific needs into account. The answers must not be construed as personal or general recommendations to purchase specific products, nor do they replace personal advice.

- Responses from the George AI Experts app are not legally binding statements or confirmations from Slovenská sporiteľňa. No legal acts are performed via this app, nor are any legal statements accepted through it. Similarly, it is not possible to use it to give Slovenská sporiteľňa instructions to execute, amend or cancel banking transactions. For security reasons, George AI Experts does not accept such instructions.
