General security rules for the use of Internet and the Internetbanking service
Security of communication
You can use the Internetbanking application only via the SSL protocol. SSL (Secure Socket Layer) is a security protocol which verifies the server to which it is connected and at the same time ensures the protection and secrecy of data transmitted between you and the Bank.
Look at the security elements in your internet browser.
The Internetbanking server of Slovenská sporiteľňa ib.slsp.sk is certified for security by the worldwide recognised certification authority VeriSign.
For more detail information on the certificate issued for ib.slsp.sk
Attention:
In the case of using older versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) for accessing the Internetbanking server (https:\\ib.slsp.sk) on the HTTPS protocol, the IE will show a notification on the termination of validity, or invalidity of the certificate. This concerns an incorrect interpretation of the certificate by older versions of IE, because the certificate is valid. It is possible to remove this state via an IE upgrade to IE version 5.5 or higher.
Verification of the bank's server - in the case that you have chosen a security object with a high degree of protection - an electronic personal key (EPK), you have the possibility to directly verify in the application that you are communicating with the server ib.slsp.sk
Proceed as follows:
-
Log in to Internetbanking via your EPK.
-
On obtaining the authorisation code from the EPK press the "ENTER" button on the EPK.
-
At the EPK's instruction "ANSWER", input your EPK answer from the bank (the number which Internetbanking returns to you as the server's answer).
Press "ENTER" on the EPK. There must appear on the EPK the message "SERVER OK !".
If the EPK returns to you the message "SERVER NOK" - cancel the connection and log in again!
