Deputy Chairman of the BoardGraduated from the Faculty of Applied Information Technology at the University of Economics in Bratislava, specialization - Automated Control Systems.
In 1991 - 1995, he worked in Slovenská sporiteľňa as Head of the Property Management Staff Unit, a Managing Director of the Technology Division and later a Board Member.
From 1995 - 1998, he was a Board Member and Deputy of CEO in Komerční banka, a. s., Bratislava.
Since December 1998, he has been a Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors and the First Deputy of CEO of Slovenská sporiteľňa. As a Chairman of the SLSP Privatization Committee and member of the Management Group for Restructuring and Privatization of Selected Banks and Restructuring of the Business Sector at the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic, he played a significant role in the privatization process of Slovenská sporiteľňa.
At present, Štefan Máj is a Chief Financial Officer and responsible for Accounting, Controlling, Balance Sheet Management, Property and Construction, Participations and Physical Security
He is based in Bratislava, speaks English.
