Board MemberAfter completing the studies of economics at the Czech University of Agriculture and New York State University/CEU, Jiří Huml joined McKinsey & Company in Frankfurt am Main in 1992, to deal with the customer services in banking and insurance business, and in capital markets. Later on became a member of the senior management of the Prague branch of the McKinsey & Company and for eight years spent in the company supported customer services also in Hungary and Russia.
Jiří Huml started his banking career in 2000 in Komerční banka in Prague, where he was a member of the Board of Directors and the Deputy General Manager responsible for Operations, Support Services, Payments, Project Management and IT. Then joined Česká pojišťovna to act there as the Deputy General Manager responsible for Operations, Customer Service Centre, Project Management and IT.
For the last three years he has focused on retail banking business in Česká spořitelna being responsible for the Section of Private Banking and Retail Distribution of Financial Markets Products. He was involved in the projects implementing the private banking within the Erste Group in Hungary, Romania and Slovakia.
On 1 June 2010, Jiří Huml became new Member of Board Directors of Slovenská sporiteľňa. He is responsible for retail banking business.
