Handbook - using of EPK V1

The product under consideration is an electronic product ensuring a high level protection of access to important and confidential information.



  • Do not ever give your PIN to anyone else!
  • In case of loss or theft of your EPK, immediately inform the Bank!
  • By calling 0850 111 888, you can ask for blockage on your EPK.
  • Do not ever try to open the apparatus case for other reasons than battery exchange.
  • Exchange battery immediately after the EPK notifies you.
  • Avoid environments that cause electric shocks.
  • Avoid big temperature changes.



Switching on the Electronic Personal Key (EPK)

Switch on the Electronic Personal Key by pressing "ON/CE".

Wait until "ENTER PIN" appears.

Enter your PIN (Personal Identification Number).

Press "ENTER".

Wait until the "INTERNET" application is displayed.

Press .

Wait until the PHONE function appears.


Choosing the Application

You can choose between 2 applications in EPK:

INTERNET - Internet Banking of Slovenská sporiteňa, a. s.,

PHONE - Phone Banking of Slovenská sporiteňa, a. s.

After switching the EPK on, the name of the first application appears. In case you want another application, press . Repeat this until the name of the desired application appears.


Change of the PIN code

Press PIN (5) on the EPK.

Enter your new PIN and press "ENTER".

Your PIN cannot contain repeated figures and numbers sequence. (1234, 1111 ...).

In case your PIN is correct, the card will display "CONFIRM PIN".

Confirm your new PIN by re-entering it and press "ENTER".

EPK will automatically return to the main menu - it will display the application name.


Authentication code

Your Electronic Personal Key is switched on... (PHONE menu).

After displaying the PHONE application press "ENTER".

Your Authentication code will be displayed.


Authentication code (PHONE appl.) is a decimal figure, containing 8 figures and is displayed only on one screen.

Note: According to the type of application, the Electronic Personal Key returns codes either in hexacode (INTERNET appl.) or decimal code (PHONE appl.). If the code is longer than the number of characters on the display, you can move between the first (h1 or d1) and the second (h2 or d2) part via the
